New Releases by These Arms are Snakes, Lillingtons, Riverdales, Number Twelve, and Chin Up Chin UP

THESE ARMS ARE SNAKES “Easter” CD

Their second full-length for Jade Tree finds the Seattle foursome towing a proverbial line between paradox, hostility, and a caustic blend of post hard/math core. “Easter” explores the relationship between suspect animism, impending otherworldly doom, and the ethereal battle between virtue and ruin. “Heavy guitars collide with greasy analog-synth blurts and post-punk grooves” - Revolver. “Dramatic, thrashed post-hardcore that angers and invigorates” - CMJ.

THE LILLINGTONS “The Too Late Show” CD

They’re back and with the original lineup that earned them the title of “Fat Mike’s Favorite Band” all those years ago! Straight outta The Blasting Room, THE LILLINGTONS have returned with an album chock full catchy hits. It’s classic LILLINGTONS: the Red Menace, alien invasions, double agent spies, and every other kinda B-movie hijinx you can think of. Their vivid imaginations are matched only by their ability to write dynamic and catchy punk rock ditties.

THE RIVERDALES “The Riverdales” CD

HE RIVERDALES were the short-lived post-SCREECHING WEASEL project of Ben Weasel, Danny Panic and Danny Vapid. Here we have a re-release of the out of print first album on Lookout Records. Plus a slew of bonus tracks including three unreleased tracks, “No Sense” from the Storm The Streets session, and live tracks from their tour with GREEN DAY. THE RAMONES had always been a SCREECHING WEASEL influence, but THE RIVERDALES took it to the next level. Just look at Ben Weasel’s hair for goodness sake.

THE NUMBER TWELVE LOOKS LIKE YOU” Put On Your Rosy Red Glasses” CD

The first album from The Number Twelve Looks Like You is finally available! Originally released in 2003 it quickly went out of print after its initial pressing. This reissue comes packed with bonus content. The Number Twelve Looks Like You is made up of an eclectic collection of musicians that all add a certain flavor when creating the compositions of a sound that cannot be pigeonholed into a certain genre.

CHIN UP CHIN UP “This Harness Can’t Ride Anything” CD

The Midwest can be an unforgiving place. The winters are freezing, the summers are humid, and it’s easy to feel landlocked by the vastness of earth in every direction. Chicago’s Chin Up Chin Up (think optimism, not exercise) have successfully embodied that feeling with their second full-length; yet as bleak as things may appear, there’s a pervasive feeling of hope inherent in the band’s brand of avant pop which stretches further than the Windy City’s skyline. - Mojo.
